Do you fully comprehend the meaning of The Beast, the number 666 and the prophetic implications of the world events we have all been experiencing? Are you concerned about the times we live in and about events like 9-11 ... the Asian Tsunami of 2004 ... the unbelievable tolls taken by hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Stan and Wilma, as well as the South Asian Earthquake which all occurred in the Autumn of 2005? I know I am. I always have been ... and I've always believed the clearest and most meaningful answers to such questions about our lives are found through an understanding of the Bible.
Regarding events like the ones cited above, people always ask Why does God allow such things to happen? He answers that question quite thoroughly in the Bible ... but, apparently, no one goes there much. It amazes me that it's the biggest selling book in all of history; almost everyone owns a Bible ... and yet, it seems, no one ever bothers to read the one they so dearly hold on to. How strange.

Instead of accepting or rejecting someone else's notions about the most important things in life ... or instead of wandering around, procrastinating about making decisions for yourself about such matters ... I'd like to share with you a real easy way to step onto a path of your own discovery.
Through an interest in learning about this infamous Beast and the number 666 so many people have talked, sung and shouted about over the years, I've made many attempts to understand the book of Revelation, where these terms originated -- see Revelation 13:18. But the reading of that book always left me dazed and bewildered; thinking it had to be the most mystical book of them all, filled with symbolism and hidden meanings. However ...
Today I would tell you that there's nothing symbolic
or mystical at all about the book of Revelation!
The Greek word for Revelation means The Unveiling -- it is the unveiling of Jesus Christ. And while this book is the most neglected book of them all, it is the only book in the Bible that offers a special blessing to those who read it or hear it read ... and hold on to what they get out of it.
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear
the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are
written therein: for the time is at hand.

As it turns out, Chuck Missler is absolutely right! With an understanding of certain passages in the Old Testament, the Book of Revelation becomes clearly literal and factual. If you want to discover for yourself what I mean, you can access his free audio commentaries yourself -- and see if you can listen to just one; I sure couldn't!
Chuck Missler's background is quite impressive as a world-class business executive who has been studying the Bible for more than 50 years and teaching it for more than 30. He doesn't preach and he's not a leech -- he is a very skilled, fascinating and entertaining communicator, who provides a most clarifying study of Bible prophecy. His commentaries on the Book of Revelation will quickly show you how easy it is to read and understand the Bible, as he unveils how it's been mystically inspired, encoded and arranged by the Holy Spirit ... and believe it or not, if you've ever wanted to read the Bible for yourself, the book of Revelation is the best place to start!
Further, a study of the books of Isaiah, Zechariah and Daniel will surely shed a new light on world events for you! There are many prophecies in those books that have already been fulfilled with dazzling accuracy ... and not many left, that are about to come to fruition.

Check those links out! You'll not only obtain a much clearer understanding of what is happening in the news today, but you'll become enlightened by the Word ... which keeps you from being deceived.
I've found Missler's commentaries so insightful, and so humorously entertaining, that I have since decided to study all of them. I don't know if you'll wind up doing the same ... but I sure hope you do! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me about them:
ALL the prophecies of the Bible are absolutely and irrefutably astounding in their accuracy! But one example of what I mean, is found in Daniel 9:20-27 where Gabriel, who is always on a Messianic mission, visits Daniel and gives him some very interesting information, revealing the very day that Jesus would first announce Himself as the awaited Messiah and what would ensue afterwards -- covering a span of nearly 2,500 years, including The Great Tribulation and the Second Coming of Christ.
The above reference covers a considerable number of prophecies, but my point sits specifically in verse 25 where 69 weeks of years are decreed. Compensating for leap years and other such matters, the prophecy foretells a total of 173,880 days from the rebuilding and restoration of Jerusalem, to the time of the Messiah's first coming.
The above mentioned restoration and rebuilding of Jerusalem is sited in Nehemiah 2 and officially dates at March 14, 445 B.C. The truly shocking thing here is when you calculate 173,880 days from that date, you arrive at April 6, 32 A.D. -- the very day of Triumphal Entry which we read about in Matthew 21:1-11.
Over 480 years from one event to the next ... and prohecied to the very day! Does that beat all, or what?
The Word of God is Living and Active

God's Inspired Word has a funny way of revealing itself to you. Often, a particular passage will just seem to jump right off the page and deliver a most powerful, life-changing idea ... when you least expect it! It may be a verse that you've read many times before that suddenly has a meaning you've never seen! This has happened to me enough times that I've begun to wonder if God doesn't rewrite the verses every time I close the book!
Consider a holographic image as a comparitive example of God's Word. If you take a negative that was created using holography and look at it under natural light, the negative appears to have nothing at all to offer. It's a plain, gray sheet of film with no apparent information of any kind. However, if you look at that same holographic negative under the lazer-based light that created it, you will see an astounding three-dimensional image that literally dazzels you with wonder! In the same way ... the Bible, to the natural mind, appears to be nothing more than a bunch of historical writings, but look at it with His Holy Spirit indwelling your being; with the light that created it ... and it will literally transform your consciousness!
The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them],
because they are spiritually discerned.
1st Corinthians 2:14
Further, if you tear off a chunk of that holographic negative, the entire image will lose some of it's clarity ... but you will still be able to see what was there -- including the portion that was removed! Any part of a holographic negative will contain all the information; every detail that was captured in the original hologram. And, again, in the same way ... God's Message to you has been encoded in every page of the Bible!
Read your Bible daily and it will renew your mind ... it will keep you from being deceived by the things of the world ... and it will heal your body, too.
