And for my friends who can't view graphics, here's the Text Version:   I use a six-digit numbering system to describe my chords.   The numbers represent the fret position of each string, running from the heaviest string to the lightest string ... for example, a C chord (in Open G Tuning) requires fretting the 4th string at the second fret and the second string at the first fret ... numerically, that would read 0 0 2 0 1 0 ... an X means you do not play that string, and a T means you wrap your thumb around and fret that string -- usually the 6th string ... sometimes the 6th and 5th strings together.   T2 means you wrap your thumb around the neck and fret the second fret, T3 refers to the third fret, and so on.

Major Chords:
Majors are barred:
A:   7 7 7 9 7 7
B:   9 9 9 11 9 9
C:   10 10 10 12 10 10
D:   0 0 0 2 0 0
E:   2 2 2 4 2 2
F:   3 3 3 5 3 3
G:   5 5 5 7 5 5
Other Chords:
A minor:   X 0 2 2 3 2
B minor:   X 0 4 4 5 4
D minor:   0 0 0 2 0 3
E minor:   X X 2 0 2 2
A:   X 0 2 2 0 2
A7:   X 0 2 0 0 2
D7:   0 0 0 2 3 0
G:   0 2 0 0 2 0
G minor:   0 1 0 0 1 0
G7:   0 2 0 0 2 3
E7:   0 2 2 1 2 0
C:   X 3 2 0 3 X

Of course, there are many other chords and fingerings ... these are the basics and should get you where you need to go (I'll gladly add others as you request them).

The legend, above, explains the colored symbols used in the chord charts. The "Thumb Wrap" simply means you wrap your thumb around the neck ... the general rule around here is - whatever is comfortable is appropriate ... and, last, the "No Play" ("X") means you do not play those strings.
